much of this is editing for clarity, with some detail expansion. I'm not as deep into the guts of mixed models as you are, so I tried to make it clearer for folks like me.
I tried to reduce the number of custom acronyms whenever possible
I don't think repeated::GNLMM() does bayesian....? I may be wrong.
in the intro, it's my understanding that 'repeated measures' is analytical approach for longitudinal data, so I only mentioned it once in the intro paragraph
in line 14, is it possible to get rid of 'etc' or define it clearly?

This generally looks good; I will probably have some picky reverts/edits after I merge. I'm a little bit worried about providing the level of detail you gave for GEE packages for all packages, as I think it could make the whole document unwieldy (there are 125 packages listed in total ...) - unfortunately, everyone who comes to the document is going to have a different idea about how much detail is appropriate, for which sections ... I guess we can go ahead and leave stuff in for now, weed it later if it seems too much?

Glad to have the feedback! I found that maintaining consistency across all sections is difficult. I don't know much about some of these packages, so I was trying to fill it out. For the GEE packages, I lifted the descriptions straight from the package authors and tried to condense whenever possible - there is definitely room for improvment. Dang, 125 packages! I did not realise.
