Click events for minicharts #3

How can I observe a click event on a leaflet.minichart in a shiny app? I have seen different articles doing this for regular leaflet shapes (e.g. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42798377/shiny-leaflet-ploygon-click-event), but cannot find anything on an equivalent way of adding this for html dependencies. Could you provide guidance? I would like to create a sidebar that provides a little more details on the data than displayed in the pie chart on the map.
