both to manage large number of patients and to manage isolated patients, there is a need for more advanced remote data sensing methods, including:

  1. audio (breathing sounds), also under ventilation
  2. repurposing of existing non-medical tools

note that i some cases you can have patient cooperation and in others not. also note that one cannot assume smart ventilators being available
