Export data to Excel / csv / text files #503

Open sebmatton opened 3 years ago

Hi!

I need to export my data (invoices, payments, expenses) to build up my customized Profit & Loss statement for local fiscal declaration.

At least Profit & Loss excel export would be very nice, but if I can export invoices, payments, expenses as well, that would be fantastic.

Expected export format: Excel / csv / text files that can be parsed by Excel or equivalent tool.

What do you think ?

Thanks

This is already under work and a lot of it is already done.

However, we've decided to release this on 6.0.0 as we already have a lot on our plate for v5.

It is great to see this being work on. As a new user considering Crater, being able to extradite all data, even by complex but reliable methods would be considered a must have feature.

Why?

We have been bitten before where commercial services silently lock you in by making it either impossible to get your data out or if you do it is in such a convoluted format it is essentially useless.

I would go as far to say open format export would be a headline website feature when it is implemented. I know I looked for it immediately.

Hi @mohitpanjwani, I'm not sure how for you are done with the feature but, if possible, can you give an option to export the info in flatpack file. Another Open-source app called Akaunting has this very annoying feature where the entire database converted to the xlsx file which makes it exceedingly difficult to read.
