Static noise occurs only while sounds are playing (OPL3 and digital samples) happens in real mode games and protected mode games.
To clarify, the sounds play correctly, just with static type noise (maybe fast pops?) mixed in.
This card works perfectly in Win98 with no static. Also no static when using Creative DOS drivers instead of SBEMU.
Tried changing emulation card type from SB16 to SBPRO with no change. Also tried /FIXTC no change.
Don't think it is clipping since volume level in Win98 and in DOS under SBEMU are the same.
Specific Games Tested:
Protected: DOOM
Real Mode: Planet X3, The Secret of Monkey Island
SoundBlaster AudioPCI (SB16PCI) CT5803 /w Creative branded ES1373
MS-DOS 6.22 & QEMM 97
