Installation of openshift local using extension not able to use existing downloaded file #73

I click on the install and then it started downloading the pkg file and I can see the status bar. Then I just exploring other options and came back to dashboard and I see the install button again available to use so I again clicked it and I can see now in the status bar a new Downloading Openshift Local and previous one is just stopped at 26%.

@praveenkumar It is a PD bug, it should be transferred in to podman-desktop repository

It's a bug that happens when a user is using the OpenShift Local extension - so we should keep this issue here, but have a link to the issue describing the root source of bug in Podman Desktop

It uses a cached file. It does not actually re-download again.

@evidolob Please create the issue to describe how PD can resolve this for us.

I just create it, it is a common problem for all podman-desktop dashboard buttons, that they don’t store their state, so if you click on them and switch to another UI page(like settings) and switch back to dashboard you will get same issue for any extension/button on dashboard.

So this is on-hold for us until handled. Pinged them on the issue to change the priority.
