archlinux + awesome can't switch profile

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I use awesome pure wm on archlinux,no desktop like gnome or kde were 
installed.
2.Instal the latest version of proxy switchy,and do "export  
GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID=Default",switchy report everything is ok.
2.I installed gconf2 and gconf-editor.Start gconfd-2 daemon by running 
"gconftool-2 --spawn or gconf-editor",no wired message,but i test gconfd-2 by 
running "gconftool-2 -p" then "echo $?",2 returned,not 0.
4.After i create some proxy configuration in switchy,i noticed current active 
profile of switchy were written to items under ~/.gconf/system/proxy and 
~/.gconf/system/http_proxy,and gconftool-2 -g will do too.
5.in chrome,open "about:about"->"net-internal"->"proxy",it's "Direct" still,and 
no proxy event are received when i switch "switchy's profile" by clicking the 
icon. 

My output by running test described in "LinuxSupport" page:
#echo $DESKTOP_SESSION + $GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID + $KDE_FULL_SESSION
#DEFAULT

#gconftool-2 -g /system/http_proxy/host
#www-proxy.myproxy.com (fake,the real output is fine)

What is the expected output?
The "about:about"->"net-internal"->"proxy" should align with my switchy active
profile,since i can access internet via proxy.
What do you see instead?

copy it from "chrome-

ArchLinux, switchy log report everything is ok, gconftool-2 is installed.

I have the same issue. I use openbox with Archlinux. Chrome version is 17.
