Right now tests are run by a shell script and test failures have to be recognized manually by a human reading the output.

[x] Make test failures report nonzero exit codes so a script can detect it (87edcbef, fc7846a1).
[x] Make the output of failed tests more evident (276d1f95).
[x] Make tests run automatically:
- [x] Pre-submit
- [x] Post-submit

With the merge of #35 this is as done as it needs to be, for now.
