Description

We have created a new online resource to replace two existing questions in the main FAQ. (This is part of our ongoing gradual effort to make the explanatory resources more discoverable and user-friendly.)

Requested change

Please replace the existing answers to What can I do if I offer my material under a Creative Commons license and I do not like the way someone uses it? and What happens if I offer my material under a Creative Commons license and someone misuses them? with the following:

"Please see our Guide on What to do if Your CC-Licensed Work is Misused."

@sarahpearson Should the French translation be updated?

sarahpearson commented 3 years ago

Yes, but I was assuming we would wait until we had a whole batch of new content before seeking translators. Happy to do it as we go if you prefer! I am not sure how we have handled that in the past.

If the translation of the FAQ content (not the entire linked Guide) can be done relatively quickly, I like the idea of minimizing drift between the English and French.

ex. S'il vous plaît voir le Guide on What to do if Your CC-Licensed Work is Misused. (I don't remember any of my French grammar lessons, but I expect the translation is fairly simple)

I checked with Brigitte, and she suggests: Veuillez consulter le guide What to do if Your CC-Licensed Work is Misused.
