Describe the bug

scripts/genicons.py uses Python 2, which has been sunsetted (see Sunsetting Python 2 | Python.org).

Expected behavior

The script should be refactored to target Python 3.7 on Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster). Note the dependencies (refactored script will probably use python3-cairo).
