[Feature] Implement .env for secrets

Problem

PR #36 added the python module to support a .env file for secrets, but it is not yet implemented.

Replace query_secret.py with .env for secret management
- .env should be at root/top of repository
- example.env should document secret variables (it should be formatted such that it can be copied to .env and variables uncommented and assigned values, as needed)
Update README.md with related documentation
Any updates to existing scripts should be tested (ensure it works as expected before and after changes)
Existing scripts may require path handing updates. Start with global current working directory (CWD) variable assignment:
```
CWD = os.path.dirname(os.path.abspath(__file__))
```

theskumar/python-dotenv: Reads key-value pairs from a .env file and can set them as environment variables. It helps in developing applications following the 12-factor principles.
