Problem

Hyper dense informational pages that are more or less a "digital document" need the ability to display and organize their content and structure.

Description

The license pages within the Index Project (creativecommons.org) are good specific examples of this. A more generalized context here would allow direct use or modified use from this foundational context. Digital guides and documents related to other sites like certificates or even the resource archive may benefit from the same.

Work here would need to factor in adjustments to the header region of the context, and how the layout can shift seamlessly to a single or two column layout without or with a sidebar menu appropriately.

One of the ways that dense information was managed in the pre-2023 design was through collapsible sections on the legal code pages. For example:

The LegalDB (creativecommons/legaldb) also uses collapsible sections in its FAQ: https://legaldb.creativecommons.org/faq/: Screenshot 2024-06-18 at 08-30-34 CC Legal Database

I'm thinking that an issue exploring collapsible behavior generally is probably a good idea. I'll write one up and link it up to related items like this one.
