Having the Fade or Iris transition on the Placeholder causes the first Gadget in the Placeholder to become non interactive. #823

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add the Financial Table Gadget to a Presentation, make sure the Placeholder 
transition is set to Fade or Iris.
2. Notice that once you start playing the Presentation, the Gadget is not 
interactive.

This issue is also occurring in production.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Regardless of the transition, the Gadget should always be interactive.

I discovered that it only happens when the Gadget is the FIRST Gadget in the 
Placeholder. In this Presentation, if you switch between any responsive Gadget, 
you'll notice the first Gadget in the list becomes unresponsive.
