We are currently looking into ways to provide a secure way to back up and move over attributes between phones.
However, because of the way IRMA works, we are not providing a way to have multiple phones use the same set of attributes at the same time.
When can we expect this? For test purposes I've loaded IRMA with several attributes, but now I've got a new phone.... When logging in with IRMA on my new phone it created a new account. So there is no way to move or merge the old account? or just move the attributes from old to new?
And in the meantime: when I just reload the attributes on my new phone, what should I do with the old account? Can I delete it?
At the moment there is indeed no support for moving or merging accounts. You can simply remove your old account by pressing 'delete account' in the previous app. If you don't have the app anymore, then you can remove the account via MijnIRMA. This is only possible when you linked an e-mail address to your IRMA account. Deleting your old account has no consequences for the new account, you can simply load all attributes in your new app. The attributes in the new account remain valid when you block your old account.
The feature of moving the IRMA account to another device is still on our wish list. We are currently working on publishing a high level roadmap about what we are doing and what are planning to do in the near future, so hopefully it becomes more clear then. More news on that later.
I know that the attributes are only stored in the local device and not on the server. When I get a new phone, I need to make a new account and go over all the attribute publishers.
Please consider to use same account on multiple devices and copy a (set of) attributes via QR code from one device to another, optionally via authentication via the MijnIrma.
The login to MijnIrma can be done via e-mail, but it might be that the email is linked to multiple accounts in case of multiple registrations. It looks like that email login does not work any more in that case.
