Hi. Im complete noob, not develeloper, but enthusiast. I was looking for a good Kanban, Kanboard was the best Open Source by far. Im still playing. Found that Custom Fields is a great option to add some info that I need/want to keep tracking.

But I saw some captures, where theres a sign of dollar, like this: image

Thats juts what I need, and would like to ask how can I do that. Can someone explain? Thanks in advance!

what are you asking?

how to type a dollar sign...$? it should be on your key board, somewhere. ๐Ÿคช

or, how to have it show up on the task card?

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ It is in fact here! $$$

Sorry to bother you Craig... I also need to mention that my native language isnt english. Maybe, and just maybe, something it plays against me ๐Ÿ˜‚.

My question is surely about the second: how to have it shown in the task card... im spending some time configuring and playing... as I told, Im pretty new to Kanboard (1 day)...so, I will really appreciate the help pal.

Thanks again!

when you create a custom field, there will be an option, "Include as Footer Icon?", which needs to be checked, this option will include that custom field on the task card. For that particular example, the custom field "Type" would need to be "Text", so that you can enter a "$" sign in the value.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I was afraid of that. I understand, thought about it. Thanks for your patience. So...Just one quick question... Being txt, It wont be doing a kind of "sum" in the Analytic? Right?

creecros commented 3 years ago

correct.

creecros commented 3 years ago

it's it's simple thing for me to add a cost "type", but a little work to add currency selector, so, one day I might be able to get around to it.

You know, two ways for seeing this:

creecros commented 3 years ago

for visual appearance only, during re display, you can include anything you want in the "Options" to append before displaying the value.

the result will appear in 2 places: image

and still be treated as a number

and it will now show up in the analytics: image

Hi!... As noob as I am, I uploaded the new version and the new code seems pretty good to me. Havent test it for real, but the "$" displays well and it goes beyond to the analytics. Thanks for your effort. Now... Iยดll try to use it this weekend and let you know if I found something.

Just quick question... Is this the 1.5 version then? Kanboard recognize it as such. ๐Ÿ˜„

creecros commented 3 years ago

yes, v1.5
