At the least support Windows ...I know the Win32 API based on my PR on https://github.com/FiloSottile/mkcert
Have Chrome extension use native messaging to communicate w/ daemon keep counters on roots used
Daemon has systray icon, and also keeps track of existing certs
UI supports injecting your own root (and making new certs from them)
UI supports showing frequencies of roots
UI supports the full listing, search, and delete of roots (basically certmgr w/ easier UI)

Have been keeping a close eye on https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=628819 for a while now. There are other extensions that make another outbound host call to get TLS info, but I figure at least the hit counter part of this is dead until Chrome lets extensions see TLS info.
