"/me" does not work in private message

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In a private message, use the "/me" command 
2. In a private message, someone else uses the "/me" command 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. When the user types "/me (action)" in private message, it does not
process as an action.
2. When someone else types "/me (action)" in PM, the app force-closes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
fIRC v0.2.10 on Android RC33
