Arrow Usage, and Cursor Selections. #5

a. The ability to hold down Left and Right Arrow Keys to sweep across a range of set values helps an operator in a number of situations. i.e. when centering the beam by sweeping the set point of a corrector and viewing the peak of collected beam current from a downstream faraday cup. b. Holding down Up and Down Arrow Keys to quickly navigate to a different device selection. The toggling between devices is done so often that lag in these actions is quickly detected by the operator. c. Using the cursor to select a slider for tuning is an action many find intuitive and will be a difficult habit to break. Whether the cursor is capable of anything but selection matters much less than ensuring that initial clicks do not change the set point of the device.

It will be interesting to see what operators more familiar with the current tuning screens think of the responsiveness and speed of change when holding down an arrow key. But, It appears all of these items have been satisfied. The one thing of note is that successive clicks in the trough of the already selected slider will change the set point by 1 step, but outside of personal preferences I believe the current fixes with v1.5 are sufficient to close this Issue Thread.
