Christian, how close is this PR to being ready for public consumption?

Hi @mghaught It's ready for use with middleman 4. Buuuut... It works using middleman-sprockets as a dependency. What means it maybe doesn't work with Middleman's external_pipeline.

Maybe the best solution is deprecate this gem and use Font Awesome through Bower. What you think? What you think that will work best in your case?

Thanks for the update. I'm happy to explore another angle for pulling in FA. I'm not using Bower on this project at the moment but that's a possibility. Don't feel you need to keep this gem alive if you feel it's not a smart approach going forward. I do greatly appreciate the quick response though.
