I tried doing some clumsy renaming to get the plugin to work with Gedit 3, but it fails when I try to activate the plugin under gedit preferences. I am not sure how to troubleshoot a python plugin like this to see where the problem is.

probably just more to do to complete the port, I think the parts I did do were correct, so hopefully that helps out a little.

This guy has code that seems a little divergent from this base, but it works in gedit3 for me.

received a pull request. haven't tested as I I am currently using the plugin included in gmate bundle which works off of different implementation it looks like. came from https://github.com/fmarcia/zen-coding-gedit originally,

aeischeid, would you like me to add you as maintainer? I don't use gedit anymore so I'm going to be pretty useless here.

no, I don't really use this plugin any more since I write mostly jade templates these days, and the plugin in gmate bundle does seem to work just fine. maybe we should just delete these repos at some point to avoid confusion for people trying to fix issues.
