1 year ago CRKN has initiated a project to replace its custom OAIS packaging system with Archivematica.
This will form a core function used for the transfer of preserved images from the Canadiana custom format to the Archivematica format.
- Most recent SIP part of export, not previous revisions
- Images will be included in transfer bag
- METS dmdSec included in transfer bag if Dublin Core, with Canadiana Transparent identifier (IE: oocihm.N_00175_18730725) included in a <dc:identifier> field.
- METS dmdSec not in Dublin Core will have a <dc:title> field extracted from the MARC or IssueInfo record, and a <dc:identifier> field indicating the Canadiana Transparent identifier.
All other data in a Canadiana AIP will be ignored, but will remain available for CRKN staff to use the additional data as part of a future Metadata Only Re-ingest of the Archivematica AIP.

A new export type would be a specialised form of the "SIP" export, where instead of being arranged in the custom Canadiana SIP format, it would be in the Archivematica Zipped bag format.
