Blank screen #1

Hello when i boot up my hp compaq tc4200 it has the chromium logo and it says chromium. sometimes it will boot and then goes to a blank screen or it will just be a blank screen sometimes different colors. please can you help me

Sorry, I'm not familiar with English.

Adjustment of screen brightness might have failed . Please try to press F7 key to increase screen brightness. If F7 key does not work, I can not fix this issue .

Okay I have something else know the problem was not fixed but when ever I plug it into vga it works

okay i'm back and i found something! so i plug in a vga cable to the laptop and to a tv or monitor it will work and not go to a black screen. hope this will do something and you can fix it reply soon as possible.

I believe this would be failure of the kernel VGA driver(i915) . It's difficult for me to fix driver's failure . In the next major version R52, kernel version up to 4.4 from 3.14 . Please wait and try R52.

This is schedule of Chromium Browser, not Chromium OS. Chromium OS release would be after about a week, then I'll start building. The build will take more than a week.

But, I can not promise that this problem will be fixed in R52.

I tested R52 and kernel 4.4 , and found a degraded bug in the suspend function . The failure does not occur in kernel 3.14 . So, I decided to use kernel 3.14 in the next release. Once the bug has been fixed , I'll use 4.4 . There is no excuse, but please understand .
