Could you do me a favour and try running the version from candidate:

snap refresh icloud-for-linux --channel candidate
snap run icloud-for-linux.notes

Hi Marcus,

I confirm the 'candidate' is now successfully tested Working on Kali 2020! I'm the tutorialforlinux.com Website owner and as I can I'll help you to publicize your useful App. Later I'll test also the Fedora issue and give you a Feedback.

Best Regards, David

On Kali 2020 iCloud Notes after I got this issue: "This browser's WebGL feature is not available. Try restarting your browser or try a different browser." And I it shut down. However I tested it working on All other Services: Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Mail... Let me know.

Yeah ok, so the version in candidate attempts to workaround the issue by setting QT_XCB_FORCE_SOFTWARE_OPENGL=1, but clearly this is no good as Notes and Reminders require WebGL.

This is the same issue we're experiencing: https://github.com/rstudio/rstudio/issues/3781 Of particular interest: https://github.com/rstudio/rstudio/issues/3781#issuecomment-434148237

Digging deeper it appears Qt have decided this is simply a nouveau driver issue and thus low priority for them to fix: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-41242?focusedCommentId=372924&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel#comment-372924

Unfortunately this means from my side there's little I can do to resolve this other than to suggest:

  1. Launch the apps like so: QT_XCB_FORCE_SOFTWARE_OPENGL=1 icloud-for-linux.drive, or
  2. Switch Nvidia drivers.
