Compiler and some samples can be builded on linux. There are problems with swig and some other tools.

Hi, Thanks for the request, i cannot merge the whole patch because changing to 'python2' breaks windows compatiblity (cannot test MacOS):

• python is not installed in /usr/bin/python2 rather picked up from PYTHONHOME env. variable
• windows version does not have executable called 'python2' - just 'python'

I will try to merge the other commits which seem ok.

Hi, may be can we make an argument in Makefile that will indicate which python version(executable) need to use?
