Should We Archive the Repository? #86

Open yordis opened 1 month ago

Hey team, we have https://github.com/crossplane-contrib/provider-upjet-digitalocean available right now. The Upjet-based provider supports all resources except the project_resources (we're working on it), so it would close most, if not all, issues and PRs over here.

Would it be prudent to archive this provider and incentivize the community to move to provider-upset-digitalocean?

This sounds like a good idea; thank you for taking the first big step in enabling crossplane users to use DigitalOcean resources reliably!

I'll make a PR shortly indicating in the README that there's a new version of the provider that will continue to be maintained with a link, and then archive.

I am confident enough that the package works, but since you have access to DO resources, it would be helpful for you to perform a one-time integration test of the resources.

Also, I do need help with some issues, primarily related to documentation clarifications, example, https://github.com/crossplane-contrib/provider-upjet-digitalocean/issues/38 I am not sure if those tags are the actual value of the tag, or if they could be a id to the DO Tags resource
