Using Capsule as a regular theme #37

For sometime I have been searching for a theme that can be used for a developer blog. Capsule comes closest to what I am looking for. Since Capsule is meant for internal developer journal, some features are missing/different than what I need.

  1. Ability to add images (screenshots etc.)
  2. Commenting
  3. Avoid the gate-way restrictions so that the blog can be public
  4. A header/footer with menus/widget areas

Except for (1), I should be able to implement others by adding some actions/filters to Capsule (where they do not exist) and use a child theme to plugin. Any suggestions how I can go about it?

For (1), I have seen an enhancement request. Any progress on that?

You're welcome to fork and make whatever changes you're interested in; however this isn't a direction we currently plan to take Capsule in.
