Supplementary methods -- parametrization #37

@jordan-klein please include your methods in the Suppl. Material to estimate the population-structured parameters, and the fraction of population for each class. Create a table to present the values. This should include the estimation of the fraction of each population class when the safety zone is implemented. Also, present the values in another table.

@Jennifer-Villers same for your parameters, any methods you may have used. There are two references missing, one that helped us to estimate the reduction in the probability of infection in the buffering zone (where masks, 2 meters distance, etc. is mandatory) that we estimated in an 80% reduction. The second one is the estimation you made of the minimum time the virus need to develop in an exposed individual until (s)he becomes infectious, which we fixed to 12h.

Cheers

@apascualgarcia Hi Alberto, I've added to the bib file the reference for the minimum time the virus needs to replicate in host cells. Regarding the 80% reduction in transmission due to the distancing and PPE, it was not based on a publication. The assumption is that, if everyone complies perfectly with the rules, reduction should be 100%. However, together with Chamsy, we came to the conclusion that we can reasonably expect something like 20% of non-compliance (some people getting to close, holding hands or hugging). We can present it in the paper as a rough estimation of non-compliance (of 20%) based on discussions with the Pax Syriana foundation that works closely with camp managers.
