User profile changes don't seem to save #976

When changing user profile details, e.g. address, its possible to change the information but the page never saves. This happens for me in both chrome and safari.

dmorina commented 7 years ago

ok, when you file an issue you should give more context and steps to reproduce, otherwise we won't be able to help :)

so what were the values before you tried updating your info, and what did you change them to and what errors did you see if any. screenshots are appreciated (gif recordings even more)

thanks!

p.s tested on Chrome and Firefox and works just fine for me

Sorry about that. I'll put more detail in the future.

The setup for this is that I go into my user profile and try to edit a few things that are wrong: my birthday and my address. I edit them and click submit and nothing happens. If I leave this screen they are not updated to the new values.

I've tried this changing only one thing at a time, and I've tried it in Safari, and Chrome and both won't work.

The address is currently my Pittsburgh address and somehow my birthday is the day before my actual birthday.

Note, my address is not verified despite being accurate to the legal address of where I live.

maybe your new birthday is the correct one :D ok, and I assume you are a requester only? we might have to drop the google plugin if it doesnt find some addresses, thanks!

markwhiting commented 7 years ago

I think I'm both. At least I was when I created my account.

Perhaps I should just change my actual birthday to match Daemo...

apartment numbers are not supported and not required by us, added a note next to the label to clarify this

Is it possible for us to give a useful error message if they do it anyway?

there's one, Google won't be able to find that address so that should be sufficient in addition to the note that they shouldn't use apartment numbers, workers don't seem to have any issues
