What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.got
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/130519_K3_e9ac52827465a33e98fc938bd6fe211b/
2. why is the original better?
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
That the optimized (aggressively) should have been much better.

What version of the product are you using (please check X-Mod-Pagespeed
header)?

On what operating system?

Which version of Apache?

Which MPM?

It looks like some images are loaded VERY late.
They appear to all be from <a> tags, being attributes of the form
'rel="url(uri)"'.
What's that about?

AFAICT it's not legal and the abuse of rel like this seems to be discouraged
(one should use data-something= instead).

Also, please try the safe version - I /suspect/ you have some JS running that's
being borked by an aggressive rewriter (particularly defer_javascript).

Look at the video, the optimized version loads faster (PLT shows this too). The
only reason that the Speed Index is worse is because your slideshow advanced in
the optimized case.
