I'm not able to reproduce the error. If you can delete (or move) your current server.log file, set debug to true for the lift config, and post the contents of server.log up through the traceback.
This lift worked fine: http://pastebin.com/DgYgJrps I believe you need one which failed?

Gah that isn't helping me. Here is a custom version of lift with better debug output: http://croxis.net/Lift.jar Make sure that you report the liftdebug, the stacktrace, and the error codes.
The Lift, which didn't works before, works with the new Lift.jar :D
