Mirroring on launchpad #11

Open Atlas48 opened 6 years ago

I would like to ask permission to mirror this repository on launchpad, as to make it available for easy installation on ubuntu platforms.

It already is available on Ubuntu, although you need to enable contrib packages (I think they're named either "universe" or "multiverse" in Ubuntu world — both are available in their official repository), as the toolchain to build the font from source was not yet available when Ubuntu Bionic frroze.

It has since became possible to build the font using fully free tools, that's still on my TO DO list. If anyone wants to help, that'd be nice — if you can, please do so in Debian as Ubuntu copies Debian packages unmodified, like they do for the vast majority of packages, avoiding duplication of effort.

But if you somehow want to mirror the upstream repository somewhere, this font is fully free software (past toolchain issues notwithstanding), thus by definition you may copy it without asking anyone for permission. Thus, I assume you're talking about advice rather than permission.

(I'm a member of Debian's fonts team, I have no relation to this font's author.).
