Duplicate user error when trying to add a new user #94

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed notredam beta a a virtual machine, following installation 
instructions
2. Logged in withthe admin user
3. In admin section, Users, pressed Add and filled up the form

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I receive the error message:
Duplicate User. Impossibible add the new user.

However, I can add the user using the Django admin interface.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

It is supposed to be 2.0beta. However, info box says 1.0.9rc1.
Ubuntu 12.04.03 LTS (precise pangolin) server 32 bits.
