Dear all,

I was looking through my notes and found these tables that I made a year ago. They might be helpful now?

I guess we'll need to find a population grid (or shape file) that contains all of them? Or at least the ones that have UN population data?

Is it the GRUMP dataset that will come out in a new version soon? Or GPW? Either way, they will hopefully also publish a new national identifier grid with that, won't they?

(Too many questions, I know.)

I just checked the web-site and it may be out! http://www.ciesin.columbia.edu/data/gpw-v4/

Ah, good. It seems like they didn't publish a new national identifier grid, though. So I guess we'll have to get that somewhere else. Any idea?

Solved by using the nation outlines from Natural Earth.
