2 years ago - Ist Ist - Architecture : Post-Punk/Goth Rock. The first of this relatively new bands two LPs. Dropped in 2020, their sound is a mix of Joy Division, The National, and Editors (with maybe a bit of Interpol thrown in for flavor). Forboding and urgent and dark and rythmic. Pulses with a power that grabs hold and refuses to let go.
- Dropkick Murphys - Do or Die : Punk/Oi Punk. This is their first LP (even had their original lead vocalist). Punk af, Boston af, good af. Pretty much every track is perfect for singing/shouting along to and getting hyped up. This is not a record for calming down. This whole record is a call to action. So...get to it!
- The Browning - End Of Existence : Electronicore/Metalcore. Latest release from this group of electronica-infused metalcore nutters. Full of hammer-dropping brutality interspersed with synths and the bleep-bloops of wandering electronics. Like a murderous droid with dragon wings rampaging through a city. What's not to love?
