2 years ago - Fountaines D.C. - Skinty Fia : Indie Rock. Newest album from these skyrocketing Irish expats, it shows their continual evolution whilst delving into very Irish themes. More melodic and arguably more thoughtful than their previous two releases. Still dark but not tied to the post-punk revival sounds. Right solid and a good, moody listen.
- Telemetrik - My Lightyear : Drum & Bass. A right proper neurofunk record, it's epic and brings the beats. This is the only LP this artist ever made and it is a stunner.
- Undeath - It's Time...To Rise from the Grave : Death Metal. A ridiculous, ghoulish, onslaught of pummeling metal. Gurgling, growly vocals aren't my favorite but the instrument work is fabulous. Sounds akin to being hit by a steamroller made of dead bodies piloted by a lich. I dig it.
