[Bug] Rails in Depths Mineshafts are sometimes facing the wrong direction #1

Describe the issue The name says it all; Sometimes when you find a Depths Mineshaft, the rails are facing the wrong direction. Likely caused by a bug in Minecraft itself, unfortunately.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to The Depths
  2. Find a Depths Mineshaft (manually or with /locate)
  3. Observe the rails are occasionally facing the wrong direction

Expected behavior Rails are all connected and functional

Screenshots Here they're fine But here they aren't

Time Almost every time you find a Depths Mineshaft

Additional context Likely a Minecraft bug. I will use this ticket to track whether or not the issue is resolved.

Still present as of 1.20.2. Haven't found a way of fixing this myself yet.
