Avogadro 1 is not under active development, the repository was archived in September 2021. Development of Avogadro 2 is being done at https://github.com/openchemistry/avogadrolibs. Avogadro is an advanced molecular editor designed for cross-platform use in computational chemistry, molecular modeling, bioinformatics, materials science, and related areas.
I installed Avogadro a few weeks ago, and it was working perfectly. One day, I tried to draw a molecule and strange, large figures appeared around the molecule. Also, the bond between atoms does not appear. I'm trying to use Avogadro for my studies in a class and suddently this happened. Also if I open any XYZ file, the molecule appears surrounded by the figures in a symmetrical way. I attach an image of the problem, the first image is when I tried to just draw an ethane molecule and the second when I opened a methanol molecule.
