One current example of this is the FEI PCV protocol treasury (~$600m USD) discussing allocations into BTC, DeFi Large Caps, and other index protocols.
The three main objectives of PCV Management are: (i) FEI exchange rate stability against the US dollar (“peg maintenance”) (ii) providing liquidity for FEI markets (iii) having a sustainable and growing FEI DAO
FEI seems more interested in providing liquidity than capital allocation, but allocating to TCAP could fall within Objective 3.
I think we'll see more diversification talks within DAO treasuries soon.
Meta reached out to me about this and feels good about making an impact with it. Here are some notes from our convo:
Was thinking.. one significant vertical for TCAP could be in DAO treasuries looking to diversify away from concentrated assets, to have an allocation of like 1-5% of their AUM in an index like TCAP.
Open-orgs.info lists the big treasuries, but I expect more growth in this type of ownership structure. We’d just need to pitch the managers or DAO directors on why they should include index products (if it meets their investment objective)
