When I try to create a new unsigned transaction to send funds, there is no form available to enter requisite information (i.e. recipient address or BTC amounts).

Sorry - my first post.

In Specter Desktop I choose the wallet from the list on the left from which I want to send funds. Then click 'send' tab, then 'new' to create a new unsigned transaction. This is the screen I get - no place to enter recipient address or BTC amounts etc.

I have successfully sent funds from this wallet before (but some time ago) and I have no problem receiving funds to this wallet.

I run my own external node and access specter through Umbrel. I am using a Mac (recently upgraded OS to Ventura) and Safari browser. Specter Desktop version is 1.14.2.

Hoping this is a simple fix! Thanks!

Please upgrade to latest version v1.14.5 and try again.

Just read through these instructions to update when connected to Bitcoin Core. Felt a little above my pay grade. Do you anticipate making this available in a way that's easier for the less technical folks out there (I.e. simply clicking an Update button)?

JS-Styles commented 1 year ago

To be clear, I am not being given the opportunity to Update in the Specter App. And in the Umbrel App Store it says that the Specter version 1.14.2 is the latest. Should this be updating and should I be prompted to update to 1.14.5 somewhere in the App? It's not clear to me how I update.

Shouldn't the button on the right be notifying me that a new release is available for update?

Moritz - If I COULD update the app, do you think that would solve the problem?

JS-Styles commented 1 year ago

Got it. I clicked the MacOS link to download v1.14.5 as an app to my desktop. Do I really want to do this if I currently run Specter through Umbrel? Do you anticipate releasing v1.14.5 on Specter through Umbrel? Not sure why I would have both.

FWIW - I logged into Specter thru Chrome (not Safari) and did not experience the same issue creating a SEND transaction. Only potential cause I can think of was upgrade to Ventura OS.
