Affects Ubuntu 13.10 at least. Backtrace included:

Which version of irssi-otr is this? From the Ubuntu repo's? Then it's not ours I think, unless I missed something.

In saucy, it's this package since they pulled it from Debian not long ago.

So, I can reproduce that with the package! but not with the git head... I narrow it down to this commit (which makes perfect sense!)

https://github.com/cryptodotis/irssi-otr/commit/cab3fc915c387e24e4228f019745a76ca592dbc4

Bottom line, a new release is needed and very important since Ubuntu users can't use it right now.

The same goes for OpenBSD, currently there is a patch in the OpenBSD port to fix the alpha2 release: https://github.com/jasperla/openbsd-wip/blob/master/security/irssi-otr/patches/patch-src_module_c

Please release a new version (even if it is just alpha3) as soon as possible.

Yah, this has been reported for the Ubuntu packages also.

We were discussing of a stable release since it's been almost a year now that it's in alpha stage. I think it's time to release especially considering the next Ubuntu LTS freeze is coming in 2 weeks.

1.0.0 is now released. This is now fixed in this current version.
