Steps to Reproduce

With fatigue, I've finally built the APK from the developer sources and installed it on my phone. But how can I activate it? It requires a license anyway. (I've already bought the Android v1.10.3 from Play Store, and would like to try to resolve the symlink issue, previosly signalled. Perhaps CM Android is using old vault format? Previous than V8?)

Expected Behavior

Test developer debug version with my legitimate PlayStore license.

Actual Behavior

Debug APK built by me requires license.

I just faced the same problem and would recommend reopening this until there's documentation of whether/how people can contribute to the code. Or whether they may at least build their own custom versions if they bought cryptomator, even if you don't accept contributions.

(Have you considered adding a menu option in the settings for generating a license that can be used for development?)
