Do I need to have a second server connecting as a seed for this to work properly?

Thank you for helping out, FndNur1Labs!
So do I need to point the code using local ip? Do I run the command --ip-set after running the coind daemon or do I need to go into connectivity_tool?
Can you clarify what you mean by tracing it?
for test you just can run used --ip-set. for have own server need 2 seed used local and used public ip for 2 seed nodes

I am running this on 2 Amazon Ubuntu Lightsail servers.
I cannot get --p2p-bind-ip to work if it's set to anything other than private IP. I have tried connecting to Ubuntu-1's public IP as well as Ubuntu-2's public IP from both directions. Each produces the message below.
Do I need a third machine for this to work? Is the issue in P2Pnetworks.h ? I wouldn't know what do change there as I just followed the CryptoNote instructions and randomized the numerical values in the bytes.
Oh and netstat -tulpn shows that no programs are using the ports I am using (18080 P2P, 18081 RDP)
I appreciate your help!
read doc/consensus.md

Hello,
I'm attempting to run the daemon but getting this error after it initializes. Looks like it's trying to connect to itself locally. I wrote my public IP when specifying seed nodes (which is the same Ubuntu VPS I am using to run compile and run the daemon).
Do I need to have a second server connecting as a seed for this to work properly?
