How can I get Block IDs to be randomly created?

I am trying to implement a rather unique cryptocurrency website that will allow users to buy randomized animals. These randomized animals would be generated from a randomly generated ID. Users should be able to buy animals (a coin) from other users and they would either trade an ID of an animal that they have or purchase it with money. How would I go about doing this with CryptoNote? On line 83 in cryptonote/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h I found that by default that IDs are being created sequentially. How would I change this? Am I on the right track?
