Closing Metatron Launch Project #85

Team - It's been a blast, but I believe time has come to close the Metatron Launch project.

Erin from the Filecoin Foundation has connected with us here: https://github.com/filecoin-project/devgrants/pull/295

I would like to respond with a polite note closing the project and releasing the funds remaining for Metatron. I do not believe we should continue to spend these funds given that much of them were allocated toward support for the EDEN Pilot, which is also now closed.

@macterra - with your vote, I'll send a note to Erin and make sure we remain on good terms with the Filecoin Foundation for possible future engagements.

@angelabacca @Sarah-lee123 - You two have done a lot of work on this as well. Sarah - your diagram (and video!) shows it is possible to integrate a supply chain without compromising data ownership and privacy.

Since the EDEN Pilot is not moving forward, I'll close this project. The technology, and more importantly our lessons learned, will be here once the EDA finds funding for its goals. We haven't even begun to talk about Zero Knowledge Proofs!

It was a pleasure to work with you all and I look forward to the next project.

Dear all, This is bittersweet to hear. I had actually found myself visiting the Metatron repo just a few days prior to @Flaxscrip's announcement.

The reason I was looking into using Metatron is that I've been participating in a hackathon since June 2nd. My team is building the long awaited marketplace for Cannabis Genome DAO.

We just submitted our project today which represents a minimum viable product utilizing both Filecoin, dataset NFTs, and automated access controls via Lit Protocol. We didn't implement version control, yet, so I've definitely still got my eyes on Metatron, FYI.

I plan on applying for a Filecoin dev grant to continue the work my team has already done. Wish us luck! We have a lot more features to build yet.

If Metatron is revived in the future, I hope my statements here can be helpful in supporting your efforts to do so. Also, if any of you have interest in discussing what I've been up to, I'd love to catch up anytime.
