Nightly project #4

Some fixes (worked around the nasty failing git command on the first build, yay!) and a project to build the HEAD compiler, in preparation for doing nightly releases.

@asterite @waj can we get this merged into master? Even that nightly is now provided separately 1 there are changes in this pull request that improves building.

How do install on freeBSD please... I find no documentation on this one?
