MFC stops controlling the HD fan in Windows when screen sleeps #205

Machine: iMac11,3 OS: Windows 10 Latest version of MFC as of 8/22/19

Installed MFC as directed. Set it to auto-launch upon login. All three fans are being controlled using "custom" settings (to keep the iMac a bit cooler). The HD fan -has- to be "custom" as it's a third-party 2.5" SSD (and this is one of those Macs that had a HD that used that stupid signal cable). On the Mac side, MFC works perfectly. But, on the Windows side, some minutes after the screen goes dark, I can hear the HD fan ramp up as if it's no longer being controlled. When I open MFC's control window, I can see the HD fan at around 5900 rpm but, within a few seconds, it falls to proper rpm. (I'll note that MFC appears in Task Manager even before I open its control window.)

AssertionFailed Turned on logging. Restarted. Was not logged into Win10 account. Heard the fan ramp up. Logged in and launched MFC. Saw the Assertion Failed dialog (attached). Setup auto-login so the machine would not sit at the Win10 login screen—I know this is a problem in macOS; the user must be logged in for MFC to actually work—and then restarted. The machine logged into my account automatically. Waiting to see if the HDD fan begins ramping up again. Here's the log file that MFC collected: Macs Fan Control 1.4.12 iMac11,3 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz [100] GPU: AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Windows 10 x64
