This is a major bug 😢 I wish a knew a way to reproduce it!
I can reproduce this 2/3 times by doing the following:
Failed to reproduce.
Tried multiple times...
I wonder if it's specific to a particular hardware or OS version? I'm on a 16 inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro, running macOS 12.
Does it happen with 1.5.12?
It looks like it does, I reproduced it just now.
I also realized my previous instructions could be more clear, updated instructions below, note new step 6
Same for #596 ?
Just now installed the 1.15.3 beta and the issue persists
😢
When I woke my mac studio today connected to Studio Display, the bug reproduced, unfortunately only once.
Still happens with 1.5.14 beta? https://github.com/crystalidea/macs-fan-control/issues/627
I tried reproducing following the steps in https://github.com/crystalidea/macs-fan-control/issues/577#issuecomment-1101900044 while running beta 1.5.14 on macOS 12.4, and I was unable to reproduce the issue. Is this expected given any code changes?
It's a bug in the Qt framework that the app uses, in the latest 1.5.14 beta we updated Qt version to the latest one so it's probably fixed!
Most text is occasionally unreadable when I launch Macs Fan Control, as shown below. Closing and reopening the window does not resolve this issue. Quitting and reopening the app resolves the issue. I am running MacOS 12.2.1 on a 2021 16 inch MacBook Pro. I observed this issue on the builtin display, and I occasionally use an external monitor as well (I am not sure if switching between the two can trigger this issue).
