eGPU connected via Thunderbolt not being detected (MacBookAir) #725

I have an AMD Radeon eGPU in a Sonnet Breakaway Box connected via a Thunderbolt 3 cable that I can't seem to make available to Macs Fan Control. The "eGPU connected via Thunderbolt" option in preferences is grayed out. In the logs, there's a "Removable device AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT will not be added" message, but I don't understand why. MacOS version is Sonoma.

Progress! Now "eGPU connected via Thunderbolt" is selectable and the temperature sensor is showing up! But the fan itself isn't showing up.
