The same thing happens when I try to claim Charleston-Miami with two purples and two wilds.
Now I have four orange cards and I still can't claim Atlanta to New Orleans.
I similarly failed to claim Helena-Duluth, even though I had six orange cards. However, I claimed Montreal-New York with three blue cards without any problem. Maybe it's just a problem with purple and orange?
Oklahoma City-Dallas didn't work either. I had 6 orange, 2 purple, and 2 wild, and none of them could claim the route. Tried to claim Atlanta-New Orleans, on the yellow side. I had four yellow cards. Didn't work either.
I couldn't claim the "any" route from Phoenix to Santa Fe with 3 wild cards. This is a problem, as it looks like no route is claimable, even though I have more than enough cards. This is also problematic because I drew all the destination and train cards and can't do anything with my turn besides claim routes. For some reason, claiming Houston-New Orleans with blue cards worked.
Again with Denver-Kansas City, trying to use 3 orange and a wild.
Upon further investigation, I realized that it wasn't claiming these routes because I didn't have enough train cars to claim them. However, the error message reads "You can't claim that route with those cards", which was misleading and led me to believe that it was a problem with cards and not cars.
I have three orange cards and one wild card. When I try to claim the route that's four spaces long from Atlanta to New Orleans, it says I can't claim that route with those cards.
