Improve readability of Patcher code. #9

Pushed some readability changes, and one change that should improve both readability and correctness. There is only one remaining method that has nested foreach statements, but hopefully it's easy enough to follow.

Feedback is welcome on the style, and on which parts still need improvement.

Now that this project is retired, this issue isn't relevant anymore.
